Common Problems

When a new garage door makes sense.

We repair first whenever it's practical. These are the situations where a new door is usually the better choice.

Badly Damaged Panels

A door that's been hit, bent, or cracked across several sections often isn't worth repairing.

Rot, Rust, or Warping

Deterioration from weather and age weakens the door and can't be fixed by replacing hardware.

Cold or Drafty Garage

An insulated door can make an attached garage noticeably more comfortable, especially in winter.

Constant Repairs

If the door needs fixing every few months, the money may be better spent on a new one.

Updating Your Home's Look

The garage door is one of the largest parts of your home's front. A new one can make a big difference.

Quieter, Smoother Operation

A new door with new hardware typically runs smoother and quieter than an old, worn door.

What to Expect

Quality doors, installed right.

It starts with a free estimate. We measure the opening, check the framing and the space around the door, and go over the Invicta styles, colors, insulation, and window options that fit your opening.

You get a written quote that lists what's included before anything is ordered. Your new door carries the manufacturer's warranty, and our installation labor is covered for one year.

Your Quote

What your written quote covers.

Every opening is different, so the quote lists exactly what's included for your job. Ask us about anything that isn't listed. Depending on the job, it can include:

  • The new Invicta door in your chosen size, style, color, and insulation
  • Springs, tracks, and hardware matched to the new door
  • Removing and hauling away the old door
  • Weather seal along the bottom of the door
  • A new opener, or reconnecting and adjusting your existing one
  • Balancing and testing the door, including the opener's auto-reverse

Framing repairs, electrical work, or other work outside a standard installation is quoted separately if it's needed.

Cost

What affects the price of a new door.

Size

Single and double doors, and non-standard openings, are priced differently.

Insulation

Insulated doors cost more than non-insulated ones but add comfort and quieter operation.

Style and windows

Panel designs, colors, and window sections all change the price.

Opener and extras

A new opener, keypads, and extra remotes are optional and priced separately.

Opening condition

Damaged framing or an unusual opening can add work. We'll point it out during the estimate.

Timeline

From estimate to installation.

  • Free estimate: we measure and go over options with you.
  • Written quote: you review it and decide. Nothing is ordered without your approval.
  • Ordering: in-stock doors usually take about 1 week; special-order doors usually take 3–4 weeks.
  • Installation day: we install the door, set the springs, and test everything before we leave.
