Common Problems

Why maintenance is worth it.

A tune-up doesn't prevent every failure, but it's the best way to find developing problems while they're still small.

Catch Problems Early

Weak capacitors, worn parts, and dirty components can be spotted before they leave you without heat or cooling.

Lower Energy Bills

A clean, properly operating system doesn't have to work as hard to keep your home comfortable.

Safer Heating

A furnace tune-up includes the burners, ignition, safety controls, and venting.

Longer Equipment Life

Equipment that's kept clean and adjusted generally lasts longer than equipment that's ignored.

Protect Your Warranty

Some manufacturer warranties expect routine maintenance. Check your warranty terms.

Fewer Surprises

Know the condition of your system before the first hot or cold spell of the season.

What to Expect

Two seasonal visits, two different jobs.

We recommend servicing your furnace in the fall and your air conditioner or heat pump in the spring. Heat pumps run year-round, so they benefit from a check each season.

If we find something that needs repair, we'll explain it and give you the price. You decide whether to move forward — nothing is repaired without your approval.

How a Visit Works

We Diagnose. We Explain. You Decide.

A service-call charge applies to the visit. If you go ahead with the repair, it's credited toward the repair. You'll know the price before work begins, and work doesn't start until you approve it.

Common Questions

Straightforward answers.

Have a question that isn't listed here? Call765-863-3333and we'll be glad to help.

How often should my HVAC system be serviced?

Once a year for each system is a good rule — the furnace in the fall and the air conditioner or heat pump in the spring. Heat pumps run year-round, so they benefit from a check each season.

Do you maintain all brands?

Yes. We maintain all makes and models of furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and mini-splits.

Do you offer a maintenance plan?

Not at this time. Call us to schedule a tune-up whenever your system is due.

What happens if you find a problem during maintenance?

We'll explain what we found and what the repair would cost. You decide whether to have the repair done.

Can I change my own air filter?

Yes, and you should — check it monthly during heavy use and replace it when it's dirty. A clogged filter is one of the most common causes of poor heating and cooling.
